Anthropocene Life
Humans share Earth with a beautiful cast of living beings on our vast yet finite, ever-changing planet.
How will we care for our Earth and for each other?

This work has been accepted for presentation at the
International Society for Evolutionary Medicine and Public Health in Durham, England - August, 2024
PRELIMINARY STUDY FINDINGS:
Regardless of mode or delivery - whether natural vaginal birth or cesarean - most persons report satisfaction with their experience
Persons whose mothers experienced cesarean tend to be more likely to experience cesarean birth themselves
Family size has dramatically decreased and the cesarean rate has dramatically increased over generations, but no difference was found in family size between cesarean and vaginal birth groups of the same generation
Although for for Millennial and Gen Z birthing persons, the cesarean birth rate is commonly reported as PER DELIVERY. In the US this is about 1 of 3 (32%) births. However, the prevalence of cesarean birth PER BIRTHING PERSON is higher at about 1 of 2 (51%) birthing persons.
More participants are needed to see if these TRENDS are REAL or just by CHANCE
